Emerging Leaders Summit

UL Lafayette freshmen and sophomores will be participating in an Emerging Leaders Summit on Saturday. The mission is to empower students to discover their unique leadership potential and provide education on the necessary skills and traits of a quality leader. Casa Azul Gifts in Grand Coteau visual artist Lynda Frese will give a talk followed by a book signing for her new publication Pacha Mama: earth realm. The artist will share recent images from the Peruvian Amazon and other off-the-grid experiences that helped shape the environmental themes of her work. She will discuss the significance and process of using egg tempera paints, employed by Renaissance artists, to create jewel-like skins over her collaged photographs.
