Cajun Ground Hog Day

Pierre C. Shadeaux, our Cajun Ground Hog "No Wait He Is A Nutria!" will come out to tell Acadiana if winter will leave shortly or stick around for six more weeks. Shadeaux or no Shadeaux no one knows till Pierre C. lets us know what he sees when he ventures from his Cajun cottage after his first cup of coffee promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Mardi Gras Exhibit

In addition to the beautiful Mardi Gras room which is available year round, The Alexandre Mouton House is hosting a collection of stunning costumes and other Mardi Gras memorabilia. The collection is on loan from past royalty and members of various Mardi Gras Krewes. The exhibit will run throughout February.

Mock Wedding. Real Love.

Come be our guests at a 1800s mock wedding ceremony with a real life couple complete with a traditional reception with broomstick cake.
