The work of Massachusetts artist Laurence Young will be on display at the Rue Du Pont Galerie through May 31.
Young describes his work as a translation of the use of light on an object into color. His studio paintings employ a cold wax medium added to oil paint, which he stresses with heat thereby creating rich, complex, colored surfaces reflective of Provincetown, MA and its artistic history.
