A quilt made from FIL t-shirts is now on display at the Lafayette Public Library in the front window on Jefferson Street. Most of the t-shirt images represent FIL artists' - from the years 1989-2002, including Dennis Paul Williams, Francis Pavy, Elmore Morgan, Jr., Megan Barra, John Geldersma and David Butler. Lisa Bonwell created the quilt with T-Shirts from her own collection, with help from other family members who donated their favorites as well.

Elemore Morgan, Jr. (1931 2008) was a renowned artist in Louisiana. Known primarily as a landscape painter, Morgan was also a beloved and influential teacher. As a member of the University of Louisiana (known then as the University of Southwest Louisiana) Art Department for over thirty years, Morgans influence as a mentor was profound.
