Ride of Silence

The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks participants to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, have lights, follow the rules of the road, and remain silent during the ride. Author, spiritual director, and long-time journalist, Joan Broussard will be speaking at Geesey Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley on Wednesday April 17, at 5:30. She will share her personal experience of grieving the loss of her husband and parents and the merits of journaling our way through grief. oan presents from her own journaling and grief experience and her lively presentation includes experiential activities. Joan Broussard completed her studies in Spiritual Direction at the St. Charles Retreat Center, in the Diocese of Lake Charles and has been offering Spiritual Direction since 2007. She is the author of a several Catholic magazine articles as well as the newly released book on grief.
