Southern Open Artwork Delivery Deadline

The Acadiana Center for the Arts is gearing up for the 6th Annual Southern Open art competition- a juried exhibition featuring artists from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. The Southern Open is open to all visual artists over the age of 18. Entries can include painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video/DVD and other multimedia / installations. Works that are original, completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at the AcA will qualify for submission. No students please. A jurors pick award of $1,000 and two $500 will be announced at the opening reception on May 12, 2012. Jurors top pick award will also receive a solo exhibition as part of the AcAs Side Gallery Series during May 2013.
