May 1st-May 31st: Early Bayou Teche Maps and City History Exhibit. This exhibit is part of the city's Bicentennial program entitled "Sugar, Slavery, & Statehood". May 16th-June 30th: Becoming Louisiana: The Path to Statehood. This beautiful history exhibit is made of 10 panels designed by curator Herman Mhire and researched by Louisiana historian Charles Elliott. Exhibits located in the historic Maison Duchamp, 201 S. Main St. Open every Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
