Bicycle Traffic Skills 101: Part 1

With May being National Bicycle Month, the Lafayette Metropolitan Planning Organization and LCGs Traffic and Transportation Department are teaming up to host a bicycle traffic skills course taught by Chris Daigle, a certified League of American Bicyclists instructor. Register for the course by April 24 and receive a $40 discount. The course will cover basic bike maintenance and adjustments; bike fit and riding techniques; understanding the real dangers of riding and where they come from; dealing with the most common crash dangers BEFORE they happen; basic handling skills and accident avoidance techniques. Participants will learn both in a classroom and on short bike rides. You will need a bicycle and helmet that fit well and are in good condition. Part of Lafayette's Bike Month. [Event Website]
